Theresa earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Communication (Concentration in Radio-Television/Broadcast) at Kansas State University and minored in Spanish, studying abroad in Mexico, Puerto Rico and Spain.
A two-time small business owner in the medical and health fields, Theresa changed direction from the corporate world to concentrate on working with children, both professionally and through her charitable work with organizations like Camp Soaring Eagle, The Nick Lowery Youth Foundation, Nation Building for Native Youth, Champions for the Homeless and others. Starting as a volunteer/facilitator in public schools for over 15 years, she has also worked for eight years serving as a substitute high school teacher, including long-term assignments for teachers on leave. To better serve her students, she has continued collegiate courses in general education and cross-category special needs education. Working as a facilitator at MC2, she is expanding her knowledge about human brain function in helping children and others struggling with learning disabilities, ADHD, and other brain circuitry challenges, enabling them to improve academically, socially, and vocationally.
Theresa is the proud mother of a daughter currently finishing her studies to be a Registered Nurse. As an animal lover, she is also the privileged owner of a rescue dog named Papi, who has been her faithful companion on cross-country road trips, hiking, and other adventures.
